"Rue and Lawrence came on time to remove my old refrigerator and to deliver a 20 cu. Ft. refrigerator from Costco. They were no easy tasks. My house is in the old section of town and has small doors. They took great care and huge effort to get it in the house. Their professionalism and expertise were astounding! They had to take off the screen, the door as well as the fridge/freezer doors. Then, put everything back flawlessly. They knew exactly how to navigate even though there was a big fridge between them. The are friendly and wonderful people. Thank you so much! "Just received my couch from Costco by Island Movers. We are very impressed! Received calls before delivery, brought all six HUGE boxes inside, opened everything, put the couches together, took the empty boxes and wrapping, all within 20 minutes!!! Five stars all the way!!! "We had the absolute best experience from start to finish for moving our household furnishings into an ocean container including trucking to/from pier. They quoted quickly and laid out the plan, we employed a couple fabulous guys to help load the container from their packing division and the entire move was treated as a complete project. The container delivery, loading services and pick up was executed precisely to meet our limited timeline. We could not be more pleased. These guys need to be cloned...and given a pizza party!! Thanks, not an item was busted! My husband was correct when he declared, "these guys are pros!""

"Ignorance was bliss when Home Depot hired another local third party company to install our new dryer in our home. The red flag should have been when the "head installation manager" of that company told us to leave a good review for them online for their services. Before they left they told us that our circuit breaker was broken and not to use the new dryer until an electrician came, or we could be liable for damages. Well an electrician came and said our circuit breaker was fine! Our new dryer was leaking water, destroying our clothes from extra long dry times, and just wreaking havoc. Something you would expect from an old dryer not a new one... Then I requested that Home Depot send Island Movers. What a difference between the two companies! Not just in professionalism and accountability, but just the simplicity of one doing their job and doing it correctly. When Island Movers installed the new dryer, the same model as our previous dryer, they noticed that our drain hose (that was included with the manual) was not installed AT ALL by the previous company! They even knew to turn off our circuit breaker before hand, hence showing they read the manual, which the other company did not do. They even went the extra mile to show us that our dryer's power cord outlet was set up wrong and showed us how to zip tie it so it would prevent future damage to the cord. When they were done, they taped easy start instructions on the dryer for our first use. They of course checked the heat and the dryer's functionality before they left. They then thanked us afterwards and never once asked us to leave a review. But I had to! It seems like these days that accountability and to ask people to do their job, is asking for too much. When you come across people that truly appreciate their job and enjoy what they are doing, it shows in their service. Island Movers thank you for turning our unpleasant experience into a pleasant one. Thank you for doing your job and doing it well! "Awesome moving service! I can't believe how quick they were at moving all of our stuff! They told me it would take 2 days to move all of our stuff after the inspection and they did it all in 1 day. Really friendly and very respectful staff. Thank you all so much for your help during this stressful time in my life! Update: We received all of our stuff and everything was so nicely packed that nothing was broken. We were so worried because on our way to the island we had a few things broken."

"Island Movers packed up and managed our big household move from Honolulu to Georgia this summer. They did a spectacular job from start to finish. We have lots of glass and marble items, including big, glass doors for some shelving units. Nothing broke, despite the long journey, due to the careful and competent manner in which all of the items were packed. The movers in Georgia who unpacked us told us that it was one of the best packing jobs they had ever seen. The estimator, Kristine, and the office staff could not have been more courteous and helpful in answering questions and in keeping me informed regarding the location of our items and the estimated date of arrival. Needless to say, Island Movers has my highest recommendation."

This company scored high from the get-go. I filled out a questionnaire to begin and got an email answer the next day. When I called them regarding the estimate, the customer service rep was pleasant and patient as I went down my list of questions. We agreed that I would call them within 3-4 weeks to my actual move date.
The estimator came and gave me an estimate very close to the actual amount, which is important to make budgeting easier.
On the day of packing, four men came and packed everything I pointed out. They were quick, efficient, and friendly. I watched as all the boxes that the team packed were put into wood crates and nailed shut. It was not opened until it arrived at my doorstep of my new home out of state. Everything was uncrated and brought into my home. Not a single item was broken!
Truly outstanding service! I'm so happy to have gone with Hawaii's best!

Tyrone and his crew were so Awesome! These guys lifted a 400 lb fridge over my counter to put it in the right space. Sweating and grunting and not a single swear word. Seriously impressive and super nice guys.

Wow! Wow! Wow! These guys are so awesome! We had the unfortunate experience of having to move from Hawaii last year but luckily got to come back after a little over a year. We used Island Movers to pack us up to mainland and that move was perfect. Densely packed and no breakage at all. All boxes marked clearly so we knew what was in them. The mainland movers we had to use to pack our stuff to come back were not even close in service level. Most boxes were mislabeled; I opened 5 dish packs that were labeled "dishes" before I got to actual dishes! When we were going through the inventory during the unpack there were at least 3 boxes with the same inventory number, 152. Also, much of the description didn't match. The Island mover team that moved us back in were very professional and did a great job!!! The stupid mainland movers left clothes in dressers and stuff in filing cabinets so extra heavy for the Island movers team. So lazy!!! We had a lot of breakage from those mainland packers too. Hilldrup was who did that packing by the way. I will be doing a post on their site about it but I wanted to give Island movers and their team members a shout out. Thank you Jason, Dillon and David!!! You guys were awesome!! And I wish I could remember the crew that packed us to go over to the mainland, they deserve a shout out as well. Not one thing broken!!!! It was packed so well and efficiently. We only wish they could have flown a crew over to pack us out on the mainland! Also want to thank Teresa Fujii and Roxanne Cornelio for all their help as well!!! If we ever move again it is Island Movers all the way!!!!

Seriously the most efficient and hardworking men! They were quick and precise. They were respectable and cooperated with us, I am BLOWN away. The men that handled our move deserve so much recognition, they made it so easy for us and we're so personable as well. I am so grateful for their hard work. Had a great experience with two of the Island Mover Workers. They delivered a Mattress + Box & Also a Refrigerator.
They had to climb our stairs to take it up the balcony door. It not an easy way up but manageable. The older gentlemen seemed very professional and had good guidance for the younger fella. All in good spirits regardless of the bullets of sweat they had to endure. We're very happy with the service.

I never thought I would use the words "soft and gentle" when talking about a moving service, but that is exactly what I can say about Island Movers. I was extremely impressed with the professionalism of the movers and how gentle they were with my belongings. Almost to an extent that they would pay me $ for any damage. They had an array of moving equipment for any piece of furniture needed to move. Before we started moving, they all came to me to introduce themselves and used my name the entire process. First class movers all the way. I also want to thank the back office staff from the estimator to the finance team. Every person was friendly and courteous. Island Movers is a 100% local company, so I was happy to choose them for my moving needs.

I was terrified to use movers from all the horror stories Ive heard. Island Movers was recommended to me from local businesses so I called for an estimate. Someone actually comes to your home to estimate the price for moving all your stuff. So far, the service has been great. Shayna answers all my crazy questions patiently and responds to my emails/calls right away. During my packout, the 2 movers wrapped and boxed everything (included in the price), and efficiently put it in the crate without any problems. I was told my crate would be weighed and that is how I'd be charged. I expected to get ripped off because I've heard many people were underestimated and overcharged by other movers. 3 days after my packout, I was notified that I'd be getting a refund! If you're moving off island, keep them in business and give them a call! I highly recommend them. I hope the movers on the receiving end are just as good.

Very helpful and the packers were excellent. They even labeled our boxes so upon delivery we all knew what was going where. Today I had to call the office staff to do a last minute change of address for the delivery and they were able to make that happen. Two thumbs up from me.
